In review — plants from the design app that matched something already in the catalog

Add as new inserts it as its own species (refused if the botanical name is already there). Merge fills only the EMPTY fields of the catalog row you pick, and adds the common name if it is new — it never overwrites a value. Reject closes it with your note. The designer's copy stays in their browser in every case.

Entered by hand — waiting for your check

Rows added straight from the design app. They are searchable and flagged "needs review", and nothing in them is sellable until you confirm. Open a row in Search to correct it first if needed.

Suggested corrections — changes designers made to shared plants

Each field is decided on its own. Accept writes the suggested value through the same edit door as Search (FYFF manual curation, verified by you, logged). Edit & accept writes the value you type instead. Reject leaves the catalog as it is; the designer sees your note. A row marked changed since means the catalog moved on after it was suggested — look at both values and use Edit & accept.
